The DRF Luftrettung Air Rescue Service flies to the Municipal Hospital of Pirmasens.
There are currently nearly 50 certified trauma networks of the German Association for Trauma Surgery [DGU – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Unfallchirurgie], spanning a total of around 580 certified clinics throughout Germany. The aim of these networks is to ensure seamless standardised, quality-optimised treatment of severely injured patients nationwide.
As a certified ‘regional trauma centre’, the Clinic for Trauma Surgery and Orthopaedics at the Municipal Hospital of Pirmasens ranks among the founding members of the TraumaNetzwerk Saar-(Lor)-Lux-Westpfalz and is certified in the TraumaNetzwerk DGU®.
