Healthcare and Nursing School

Never before has it been more important for young people to lay a solid foundation for their own career future. With the three-year course of healthcare and nursing training at the School of the Municipal Hospital of Pirmasens, you receive solid training in healthcare and a secure career future.

A wide range of additional career prospects is in store for those with an interest:

  • parallel to a course of training in our school, you can pursue the dual cooperative study programme leading to the B.A. in Nursing with our partner institution, the University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen am Rhein.
  • Following training, there are wide-ranging additional opportunities for further qualification and career advancement, including various degree programmes.

Alternatively, the one-year course of training as a nurse’s aide offers easier access to the healthcare field for a qualified degree and a secure career future.

Beyond the important considerations for one’s own professional future as described above, a primary requirement is that the candidate enjoys dealing with people in need of assistance.  Because graduates of the Healthcare and Nursing School of the Municipal Hospital of Pirmasens do more: ‘Focus on the person’ is the motto right from the first day of training.
